Our Relationship to the Media

The media has a rock relationship with its users.  It can be deceiving when it persuades you into buying things.  The media influences you constantly and you have to be on constant alert of appeals the media makes.  The media uses several different kinds of appeals to bring in people of different audiences in to purchase whatever product they are trying to sell.  They make you believe you “need something” to compel you to buy it. Because of the tricky deceptions the media uses the consumer relationship with the media is not a strong one.

  1. i totally agree. Advertisers are always coming up with new ways to get us to buy our product, and it gets harder and harder to go anywhere without seeing an ad. No matter how often we use technology, we will always be surrounded by the media, mainly due to advertisements.

  2. I agree with your post. A lot of the times, all the different appeals can seem forced, which makes people less trusting of it.
